One of ten UK companies selected to represent British production on the world stage.

In December 2024, Red Stamp travelled to Singapore as part of the Innovate UK Global Business Innovation Programme — selected alongside just nine other UK companies to attend the Asian Television Forum and Market at the iconic Marina Bay Sands Convention Centre.

The ATF is one of the most significant television markets in the world, bringing together commissioners, distributors, and production companies from across Asia and beyond. For a company rooted in South Tyneside, standing in that room felt like proof of something — that authentic, community-first storytelling travels.

Over seven days, we made meaningful connections with industry professionals from the Philippines, Indonesia, China, and Singapore itself. Those weren’t just handshakes. Since returning home, we’ve completed post production work that came directly from relationships built on that trip.

We also had the opportunity to speak at the British Pavilion — sharing Red Stamp’s story, our approach to production, and what it means to make films that come from real places and real people. To hear world-class speakers and stand alongside them was a privilege we won’t forget.

But Singapore gave us more than industry contacts. It’s a country unlike anywhere else — a genuine melting pot of cultures, languages, and food that stopped us in our tracks more than once. We visited the Merlion, explored the temples and the old town, took in the Bay Lights show, walked the Sky Garden, and came back with a much bigger sense of what the world looks like — and where Red Stamp’s place in it might be.

Seven days. A global market. Contacts that turned into work. And a country that reminded us why stories rooted in place and community matter everywhere.
