Red Stamp Post Production

Our post production studio is the first of its kind in the North East of England, created to support the region’s fast-growing film, TV, and digital content industries. Based in South Tyneside, near Newcastle and Sunderland, our state-of-the-art editing suite offers professional film editing in DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro and Avid Media Composer, colour grading in DaVinci Resolve, and 7.1 surround sound mixing in Pro Tools, serving independent filmmakers, production companies, and brands across the UK.

With industry-leading software including Avid Media Composer, DaVinci Resolve, and Pro Tools, we provide a London-quality post-production service at a fraction of the cost, giving creatives in the North East a high-spec, accessible alternative to London post houses.

Backed by over £70,000 of investment from Innovate UK and South Tyneside Council, our facility was designed to keep talent in the region while raising the North East’s profile on the national stage. Whether you’re finishing a feature film, delivering a TV documentary, cutting a commercial, or polishing branded content, our experienced team and cutting-edge infrastructure ensure your project is completed to the highest standard.

Editing

Our suite is built for speed, precision, and reliability. We run a fully specced Mac Pro tower with dual 4K working monitors, an 83-inch LG OLED playout screen, and a clean feed to an EIZO ColorEdge CG319X 31” HDR 4K monitor for true-to-life grading accuracy.

We work across Avid Media Composer, DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro and a range of other Post Production tools giving us flexibility to handle projects of all sizes and workflows.

All projects run on a 48TB high-speed storage solution for seamless editing and playback, with a 144TB NAS server for long-term archiving and project security.

Sound Design

Our studio is equipped with a 7.1 surround sound system, powered by an Avid MTRX interface and HDX card, delivering accurate, cinema-grade audio. The system runs through six Genelec 8330A monitors with a Genelec 7350A subwoofer, all calibrated in a fully acoustically treated room for balanced, reliable mixing.

For precision control, we use Avid S1 control surfaces and an Avid Dock, each paired with iPad 10 interfaces, providing a highly tactile and flexible mixing environment for sound post production.

We also offer a dedicated ADR/voice-over booth, fitted with a Neumann TLM 102 microphone and full video/audio playback from the control room, making it ideal for dialogue replacement, voice-over sessions, and narration recording.

Colour Grading

For grading, we use a Blackmagic Design DaVinci Resolve Mini Panel, giving precise tactile control over every aspect of the grade. A Blackmagic SDI to HDMI speed booster feeds directly into our EIZO ColorEdge CG319X 31” HDR 4K monitor, ensuring a clean, uncompressed signal path for true-to-source accuracy.

Our monitors are calibrated to work in both Rec.709 and Rec.2020 colour spaces, allowing us to deliver to modern broadcast and streaming standards with full quality control for broadcast spec post production.

We run a wide range of professional plug-ins for DaVinci Resolve, supporting everything from stylised creative looks to advanced technical finishing. For final checks, we also maintain relationships with local cinemas for DCP projection testing, ensuring your film looks as good on the big screen as it does in the suite.

Screening

Our studio doubles as a private screening room, designed for both comfort and precision. Alongside the two seats at the desk for the creative team, we offer four powered recliners on two tiered levels, giving directors, producers, and clients the perfect view.

With full control over sound and lighting, and playback on our 83-inch OLED monitor, you can experience your project in a true cinema environment while seeing post production changes applied in real time.

To complete the experience, the suite includes a high-end Siemens coffee machine, a refreshment fridge stocked with soft drinks and locally sourced alcoholic options, and cinema-style snacks such as popcorn — ensuring every session feels as immersive as a premiere.
